Stingo (1969-1982)
Full name: Strawbyn Stingo

Charlie Chicken (1976-1979)
Rescued from the fast lane of the A2, after falling off an incubator lorry.
Bondle (1982-1998)
Full name: James Bondle.
Jonathan’s pocket panther. We were originally told that he was a girl and so he got the name Prudence. When the vet told us otherwise, he got named after a word used in an Xray Spex song, which got contracted to Bondle, and that stuck.
Minnie (1977-1994)
Full name: Minnie Fletcher
Sarah’s Cat; like Bondle, Minnie was declared to be a boy and was originally called Mickey, after Mickey Mouse (they thought it was funny to call a cat after a mouse), but when he turned out to be a girl, she got renamed after Mickey’s wife Minnie.
Abbey (1993-2009)
Full name: Abbey News.
Jonathan and Sarah’s first cat – she adopted Jonathan when he was living in a flat called Abbot’s Court in Winchester. Her second name was News, because she insisted on giving us a full news report of the day’s events, every time we came home.
Tabby (2008-2025)
Full name: Tabitha
Although she was Jonathan, Sarah and Catherine’s cat, she was really mostly Catherine’s bestie. She sadly passed away recently.
Ali (2024 – )
Full name: Alice Catt.
Ali Catt is our newest arrival. She has been adopted from Battersea Cats and Dogs home.
